Honoring Guyana
Created from lived memories, stories, and emotional connection to home, these works invite the Guyanese diaspora and collectors alike into moments of nostalgia, beauty, and belonging.

Honoring Guyana Series

A contemporary body of work celebrating the landscapes, memories, and spirit of Guyana through texture, movement, and story.
When I was invited to create a body of work in celebration of Guyana’s 60th independence, I found myself returning to memory.
After living away from Guyana for more than a decade, my relationship with home has become both deeply nostalgic and uniquely personal. Time and distance have preserved vivid memories of the Guyana I knew, while also deepening my awareness of a country evolving through a period of growth and development unlike anything seen in decades. Though landscapes shift and places change, the emotional connection remains.
