COMMISSIONS
So you’re interested in purchasing a commissioned piece of artwork and would like to learn more about the process. Wonderful!I am happy to chat about this in detail with you.
THE PROCESS
DISCOVERY
After you’ve sent an inquiry through the form below we will begin with a call to discuss details about the artwork. Size, orientation, colors, medium (alcohol ink, oil paint, acrylic paint or watercolor) and substrates (canvas, watercolor paper, yupo) will be addressed.
INSPIRATION
I encourage you to get inspired by browsing my Portfolio, Insta and Pinterest. Save the images you are drawn to, I suggest starting a Pinterest board just for this. When we’ve settled on inspiration, size, medium and substrate I will send you the price.
AGREEMENT & PROGRESS
I will draft a simple contract with the details of our discussion which we both will sign. Then I’ll create a custom product listing for you to a pay 50 % deposit. Once the payment is made I will begin working on the painting. I will send a few progress pictures to ensure that you are happy with the colors and general direction, bare in mind that the end result will loo k very different. Please allow 4-8 weeks for completion of painting. Note that oil paint takes much longer to dry between layers, we also need to account for varnish drying time. The turn around time for oil paintings is 12-16 weeks.
APPROVAL & DELIVERY
Once the painting is completed I will send you multiple photos and a video. When you are satisfied with the finished piece you will pay the remaining balance + shipping. The painting will be shipped from my studio to your home complete with an original signed certificate of authenticity.
